Château Batailley, Pauillac Grand Cru Classe

As the 5th group of 1855 Grand cru classie. Château Batailley has much more fruit intensity on the nose. vibrant blackberry,raspberry coulis and cedar scents all vying for attention. The palate is elegant with supple ripe red berry fruit,a gentle grip in the mouth and a pleasing,ferrous finish.

“The 1990 offers a medium, dark ruby color, as well as an open-knit, fragrant, spicy, sweet nose. In the mouth, the wine is decidedly less structured and tannic when compared with the 1989, but more soft, elegant, and, at least for now, flattering.” (Robert Parker, 2003)
