Clay-limestone soil, finely gravelly. Double Guyot pruning. Organic and biodynamic agriculture.
Cold maceration for 6 days. Alcoholic fermentation via indigenous yeasts for 10 days, post-fermentation maceration for 10 days. Aging 12 months in oak barrels and terracotta jars.
For several decades, the Laurent family has been transmitting its passion through its cuvées from Château l’Escart, from 37 hectares of vines cultivated biodynamically, in St-Loubès. Its Eden cuvée offers a greedy nose of very ripe red fruits, coated with a quality breeding; the body is superb and the tannins satiny.
Food pairing: Blanquette of veal • Skewers of lamb with cumin and coriander • Beef tartare.
