Casa Ferreirinha is the house with the greatest historical weight in the Douro, dating back to the eighteenth century.

It was in the year 1952 that the iconic Barca Velha was created, Casa Ferreirinha thus became the first port wine company to produce quality dry wines in the region. This was to shape in a significant way the future of Portuguese wines.
