John Duval, Barossa Valley

JOHN DUVAL is an internationally recognized winemaker. In 1989, he was named International Winemaker of the Year at the UK’s 1989 International Wine & Spirit Competition. In 1991, and again in 2000, he was named Red Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine Challenge in London.
After 29 years as a winemaker with Penfolds, he established his eponymous brand in 2003 and is focused on crafting wines from old-vine Barossa fruit. The winery is rated 5 Stars by James Halliday and total production is very limited, which is why the wines are so highly prized.
