When Javier Mareque and Marisol Bueno acquired the 14th century manor house in 1975, they were determined to produce the finest Albariño wines. Today, 25 years after the first 1990 vintage, the wines from Paz de Señorans are not only considered the best Albariño but the most esteemed white wine from Spain. The Guia Peñin, Spain’s illustrious wine guide, ranked Pazo de Señorans Añada as the best white wine and second best overall wine from Spain in 2015, beating the likes of Vega Sicilia and Pingus. The wines have wonderful fruit flavors, freshness and possess great character and complexity.
