It all began in 1960 when Sergio Zenato invested in native vines in order to obtain wine of the highest quality out of his vineyards in Lugana and Valpolicella.
Today, the family’s winemaking tradition continues to pursue Sergio’s great enterprise with the same enthusiasm. Zenato's Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta vineyards are located in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, in Sant'Ambrogio. This is where Amarone Zenato is made, which today is considered one of the most valuable Valpolicella wines on the international stage and one of the most important Italian red wines.

Sergio Zenato was the first to re-discover an ancient method of Valpolicella by then long neglected: the "Ripassa", made by "repassing" Valpolicella wine over the pressed grapes of Amarone.
