Alain Chabanon has established his winery in Languedoc in 1989. His domaine, producing on average 5000 cases per year , is now recognized to be among the top 10 in Languedoc-Roussillon. The respect for the life in the soil is Alain’s first priority: The estate has been organic since 1992 and has adopted biodynamic principles in 2011 . Yields are kept low and the soils are ploughed. The work in the cellar is admirable too: long ageing in old oak barrels or in concrete eggs for its top cuvees. Alain aims to produce exceptional wines that are subtle and elegant, with a true identity of their terroir ; Wines that would become even more complex after several years but that are delicious young.
