Domaine Fourrier Les Champeaux Vieilles Vignes Gevrey Chambertin AOC
HK$ 2,440
Aromas of cassis, plums, dark chocolate and sweet soil tones, complemented by a subtle top note of warm spices, introduce the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champeaux, a medium to full-bodied wine that’s muscular and structured, with broader shoulders than the Cherbaudes that preceded it in our tasting, revealing excellent concentration and a long and ripely tannic finish. (WK) – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Champeaux 1er Cru is very floral and perfumed on the nose, so much so that if served blind I might guess it came from Vosne-Romanée. The lightly spiced palate is well balanced, with ripe black cherry and wild strawberry fruit and a touch of blood orange toward a finish of moderate length. This just needs to shake off its conservatism. (NM) – Vinous
