Duval-Leroy, “Petit Meslier”
HK$ 1,070
Duval-Leroy’s passion for authenticity is perfectly illustrated in this cuvée of pure Petit Meslier, a grape variety that is said “forgotten”. Duval-Leroy is one of the rare Champagne House to produce a cuvée exclusively from this small grape variety, with small berries and therefore low yields.
2008 is a profound expression of nature and offers a powerful, expressive nose of yellow fruits, dried fruits and an extraordinary array of citrus fruits. The palate is complex and concentrated, with a full body. The guiding line is acidic, it is the characteristic of the variety. It gives a lot of impetus and tension to the wine.
A unique experience to accompany a fatty fish in tartar. It will also be incredible with caviar. The cellar master of the House, Sandrine Logette, recommends it with asparagus or a pan of spring vegetables.
