The Starting Point, Amphora Orange Wine
The Starting Point Amphora Orange Wine is a pioneering natural wine among Chinese wineries, is an elegant combination of soft, delicate taste, fresh acidity and balanced tannin. The passage of time only enhances the characteristic color and aroma of this natural wine with great aging potentials.
Color: Medium amber with some sediments.
Nose: Honeysuckle, mandarin, and orange peel aromas
Palate: Soft and delicate palate with slight phenolic grip, refreshing acidity, elegant and balanced. Its crisp acidity helps it retain freshness as it develops complex tertiary characters with aging.
Vinification & Maturing: Grapes are carefully selected by hand and fermented with natural yeast. The entire winemaking process is carried out in amphoras, which are buried deep underground, letting the temperature of the soil naturally cool down and dissipate heat. After 20 days of fermentation, the amphoras are filled and sealed until being racked and bottled in the following March.
