Bodegas Luis Cañas has been a family owned winery for the last two centuries, devoting itself to viticulture and winemaking. 1989 marked a turning point in the winery’s evolution, with Juan Luis Cañas taking over the direction of the operations from his father Luis Cañas. Under his leadership Luis Cañas has become the most awarded winery of Rioja and a reference point for the wines of the region. His fresh ideas and visions turned Luis Cañas into a premium wine, known for consistently producing outstanding quality. So much that Ferrán Adrià, five times winner of ‘World’s Best Restaurant Award’, selected Luis Cañas exclusively as the only Rioja wine for his new restaurant project in Barcelona.
