Roux Pere et Fils, Les Cotilles Chardonnay 2022

Based in the village of St-Aubin, the Roux family own 70 hectares of vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Domaines Roux dates back to 1885, and the current generation, brothers Sebastien and Mathieu, have propelled Domaines Roux into one of the leading producers in Burgundy. The current team in charge of production consists of brothers Mathieu (winemaking) and Sebastian (the business side of the Domaine) and their drive and energy has seen a notable rise in quality. A fantastic, modern cellar has been built overlooking St Aubin village and the business’ negociant arm extended to include ever more wines. The Domaine owns vineyards in most of the main appellations, all the way up to Grand Cru.

Tasting Note
Yellow gold in colour with gently glowing silvery highlights. The bouquet shows aromas which suggest broom, white roses, acacia, honeysuckle, fern, verbena, lemon-grass, and citrus fruits (grapefruit, mandarin oranges). The palate has nuances of pine, quince and fennel. Crisp and fresh on the mineral finish.
