Château Baret, Pessac-Léognan AOP, Grand Vin de Graves
HK$ 340
This château is under Denis Dubourdieu’s consulting skills and now produces high quality red and white wines at sensible prices. This red is made from 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 53% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc with an average age of 30 years. From one of the “great” years, this is claret at its best – succulently rich and fruity with a dry finish. Recommended for enjoying from now over the next 10 years.
Color: Deep color.
Nose: Very delicate, not too characterized by its ageing in oak barrels and already offering a rich panel.
Palate: Very soft in the mouth and developing into a silky finish. The wine enjoyed a good structuration during its ageing. Suitable for immediate drinking, a rare compromise in Bordeaux.
