Chateau Le Tertre Roteboeuf, Saint Emilion Grand Cru

Château Tertre Roteboeuf is located in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation. François Mitjavile, a visionary, a figure of the Bordeaux wine world, has raised the property to the top.

The vineyard extends over 5.7 hectares of which the vines (on average 40 years old) are planted on clay soils. The vineyard is managed in reasoned fight and produces only red wines.

The 1997 vintage of Château Tertre Roteboeuf is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.

This wine reveals a dense and elegant matter which confirms that the tannins are perfectly melted. A well-balanced wine between fruitiness and freshness, despite its age.
