Chateau L’Evangile, Pomerol
HK$ 1,550
88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc
Château L’Evangile’s wines are described in an old edition of “Grand Vins de Bordeaux”, as “full-bodied and elegant, with incomparable finesse”.
After a rainy and gray spring which led to late and disturbed flowering (a lot of coulure which explains the very low yield (27 hl/ha), we had a dry and sunny month of July. allowed to keep a beautiful freshness before wonderful climatic conditions, to perfect the maturity of the grapes, in September and October.
Dense color, black, purple reflections. Intense nose, mocha, stone fruits, violet, spices. Voluminous, oily, ample palate with a powerful but harmonious texture. Sweet finish with a lot of very melted but dense tannins without aggressiveness.
