Champagne Drappier Brut Nature IMMERSION giftbox

Drappier Brut Nature Immersion is a beautifully presented two-bottle set that provides an opportunity to experience the regular Brut Nature Champagne alongside a bottle that has been aged in the sea.

The House of Drappier immersed the Champagne on October 4, 2020. 3495 bottles were placed at a depth of 31 meters in the Bay of Lannion in the Cotes d’Armor off Brittany, France. In the summer of 2022, 1368 bottleswere brought to the surface and this set includes one of those bottles.

The pressure, temperature and light at 30 metres underwater in a location near Brest in Brittany are the perfect conditions for ageing Champagne: dark, an even 10 degrees Celsius, and a level of pressure that reduces loss of fizz in the bottle during ageing. Drappier is one of the most forward-thinking Champagne producers, and this project was conceived as a way of providing perfect storage conditions without necessitating energy use.
