Château Haut Vignoble Seguin, Saint-Estéphe AOP 2017

As the second wine of the excellent Château Beau-Site, this is a really good claret at a sensible price. With 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, aged in oak for 18 months it has the “firmness” and slight spiciness that one can expect from the reds of Saint-Estèphe and it has the potential to be good for another five years. Great with cheeses or stronger red meats.
