Planeta Didacus Cabernet Franc Menfi DOC

Didacus is the most exclusive wine of the Planeta range, dedicated to the founder Diego Planeta. The production is extremely limited; for each vintage the number of bottles produced is indicated on the black label that identifies this iconic wine.

Fermentation in three different vessels: tonneaux, barrels, stainless steel. Malolactic fermentation and maturation for 20 months in French oak barriques.

Color: Deep, intense purple in color.
Nose: A complex nose with vibrant aromas of leather, exotic spices, cocoa and sandalwood complemented by ripe red fruits, blueberry and plum, mint and Mediterranean herbs.
Palate: full and intense with an elegant balance of velvety yet dense tannins, and soft yet evident influence of oak. Fresh acidity coupled with the weight of the wine balance the alcohol.
