The vineyard is located in the shade of the bell tower of Pomerol. It’s one of the oldest estates in the Pomerol appellation, whose orgin dates back to 1589. Its vineyard, near to Petrus, is mainly composed of Merlot. Chateau du Domaine de l’Eglise produces ample, round, enchanting, and also very elegant wines.
Color: Deep garnet
Nose: A clean ripe black cherry and raspberry leaf nose with good definition
Palate: medium-bodied, feminine, nice tension and lightness of touch with an almost Burgundian poise on the focus red-berried finish
Food pairing: With delicious red meat, game like vension or wild boar, with dark sauces or cheese
